Pay it forward

About a month I saw this on my friend's Facebook timeline:

"Pay it Forward, 2012: I will make something handmade for the first 5 people who comment. They must in return post this on their status and make something for the first 5 people who comment on their status. The rules are it must be made by you and be received before 2012 ends. How fun :) Anyone?"

I have participated last year with another friend and it was fun, so this time I am doing it again. Not that I have handmade a lot of stuff nor can I make a lot of stuff, but it's fun.

The person I got this from is VERY crafty, she made mineral makeup, window treatment, is a great cook and pretty much a Martha Stewart. ;) So I was super excited when I got a somewhat bulky package from her yesterday. And it was a hand knitted scarf with a very pretty design/pattern (my grandma was a very very great knitter, so I have seen and own a lot of hand-knitted goodies). And to make it even more special, there is a matching mini scarf in there for Gigi. haha. Years ago I bought a hand-knitted hat and scarf set for Gigi (which we still have) and they were so cute and Gigi tolerated and wear them whenever I can remember. This pattern is not as "dense" as the one I bought back then, but oh-so-soft and pretty. I love it. :)

It's fairly easy to take a pic of Gigi, but not so easy to take one WITH Gigi by myself. :) So this is a very good picture. haha.
