We are sorry that the Policy section has become so long, but this is to keep you informed.  And we have added a FAQ section below with some quick answers.

How come shipping a lip balm cost so much?
That's because it has to be shipped as "package", not "letter", which jumps from $0.44 to $1.22.  Anything that is "nonmachinable" will be treated as "packages" by USPS.  Our shipping charge also includes handling, which basically means the time, effort and resources to ship your package out.  We pride ourselves in fast turnaround time.  However once we dropped the package off at the post office, it is out of our hands.  And do remember it can take a few hours or even half a day for shippers to update tracking information.  We find that the tracking info can be useful, but not totally reliable/up to date.  One more thing, this rate is for "First Class" shipping, which is your normal shipping method (aka:  snail mail.  The least expensive, most immediate option.), it's not to be mistaken with "Priority Mail" (Delivers within 2 days in most cases), which is more expensive, but faster.

How/where can we buy from you?
The easiest way would be via Etsy or Artfire.  A main difference would be if you don't already have an account with either one of those shop, Artfire does not require you to have an account to purchase anything.  We carry different items in both shops with some overlaps between both shops.  Sometimes we have specials in one shop but not the other.

I have just placed my order, what's next?
1.  After completed Etsy checkout, you will receive an automatic confirmation email, which included our note to you as follow:

2.  Upon payment made via PayPal, you will receive a confirmation email of your payment.

3.  A shipping confirmation email should be sent to you with tracking number when your order has been completed and ready to ship.

Properties of some of the essential oil we used in our products:

  • Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) has been used for centuries for skin care. Its strength lies in the ability to revitalize tissue. It is excellent for the skin, and its aromatic influence helps release negative memories. Also used for glandular and reproductive systems, with some benefits to the nervous system. Used by skin care specialists in restoring balance between oily and dry skin and hair.
  • Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)has been clinically evaluated for its relaxing effects. It may be used to cleanse cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. The fragrance is calming, relaxing, and balancing -- physically and emotionally.
  • Orange (Citrus sinensis) brings peace and happiness to the mind and body. It has been recognized to help a dull, oily complexion.  CAUTION: Citrus oils should NOT be applied to skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light within 72 hours.
  • Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is one of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion. It is beneficial to the sinuses and muscular system, and especially useful for women during monthly cycles or menopause.
  • Spearmint (Mentha spicata) oil helps support the respiratory and nervous systems. It may help open and release emotional blocks and bring about a feeling of balance.

Properties of some of the ingredients we used in our products:

  • Sweet almond oil:  Conditioning, emollient, softens and smoothes skin.
  • Avocado oil:  High in vitamins A, D and E.  It softens skin and aids in cell regeneration. 
  • Jojoba:  Liquid wax.  Similar in composition to the skin’s own oils, it is quickly absorbed.
  • Coconut oil:  Great moisturizer.
  • Beeswax:  Light barrier on skin to prevent the loss of moisture.
  Ingredients we use in our products:  sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, beeswax, candelilla wax, pistachio butter, olive butter, shea butter, flavor oil and essential oil etc.

Why don't you allow solicitation?
It is not that I don't want to support bloggers and YouTubers, but if I send each and everyone of them something I will be losing money and also it does not guarantee they will do any reviews.
Here is how I see it.  If a blogger or YouTuber have informative, honest and interesting reviews/contents, people will go to their site and by the word of mouth, others will know and shops will want to ask them to review their products.  That is to say if I think you are good, I will be knocking on your door, you don't have to do a thing.  I am especially put off by the generic message I have been receiving lately.

How does your BOGO works?  What if I bought more than 2 items?
BOGO means Buy One Get One (equal or lesser value) half off.  If you are buying more than 2 items, we will rank your items from the most expensive to the least and you get 1/2 off with every other product.

Do you use a commercial balm base and are your ingredients vegan?
I make all my balm base, mixing oils and butters and waxes from scratch.  I do use beeswax and carmine in some recipe, so be sure to read the entire listing before making purchase if you are a vegan.  And all my balms are gluten free unless otherwise stated.  If you are unsure, please ask.

Thanks for visiting. In YLBB, we hand blended and poured small batches of balms with high quality ingredients and lots of love which can be used on lips or your body (unless otherwise stated). Balms are awesome, they are fun, affordable, functional and have so many different colors, flavors and scents.

The main mission of this shop is to be joyful. It’s a joy for us to make them and share them with you and we wish you the joy of using them and make your lips soft and nice.

I use my mini dachshund's image on my products. She is my inspiration and the cutest girlie ever. Every time I look at the label, it reminds me how lucky I am to have her in my life.

Payment

Please make payments via PayPal immediately after purchase, unless you have made prior arrangement with us.
We will cancel your order if we do not receive payment within 24 hours after receiving your order and we reserve the right to leave you a negative feedback unless you have communicated with us ahead of time.

We can't send out your goodies unless we have received full payment from you.

There is 9.5% sales tax added for Washington residents.

Shipping

We only ship within US. If you are outside of US, please convo us and we will see what we can do for you.

We ship your goodies to your Paypal ship-to address unless otherwise stated. Please double check your mailing address on your Paypal account.

The total shipping time for your order is our turnaround time PLUS the time in transit. We strive for 24-48 hour turnaround upon receipt of payment but during busy times, such as the holiday season, it could be longer. Orders placed over the weekend will be shipped out on the following Monday & Tuesday in the order received.

All packages will be shipped via regular First Class US mail, unless you have requested other method. The actual transit time (from post office to your home) depends on where your shipping address is.

Once the package is shipped, it is out of our hands. If you do not receive your package after a week, please contact us and we will try to track down your package or will reship, depending on the circumstance. Please at least wait a week before contacting us.

We (YLBB) do not discriminate against packages. We ship all packages equally. Meaning no matter you order 1 item or 12 items we process it the same way, we do not give extra care or put your order ahead because you have ordered more items than another customer.

If you want insurance or signature confirmation etc please let us know before ordering and we will figure out the cost and let you know.

We recycle packing material (envelope, bubble wrap etc) whenever possible. I also do not include paper invoice in your order, as you can easily view your invoice on Etsy. Please reuse or recycle your packaging.

Package Tracking - We recommends that customers track their packages during shipment. If your product is delivered to the wrong address, or is lost by the carrier, tracking information will help in the recovery of the package. It is the responsibility of the carrier to locate merchandise in their care.

Refused Packages - Customers will be billed for all shipping costs plus a 25% restocking fee for all orders where delivery is refused by the customer.

Shipping Costs - Shipping costs are non-refundable. Exceptions are made at our discretion. Combined shipping is available upon request. Contact us about it.

Shipment Returns - Customers will be charged for merchandise that is shipped back to YLBB due to an incorrect address (provided by the customer) or unclaimed returned packages. So PLEASE make sure your PayPal address is the correct shipping address!!!!!

Refunds and Exchanges

Due to the nature of the products, refunds and exchanges are considered on a case-by-case basis. All sales are final.

Taste/Color Discrepancy - No refunds will be issued for products requesting a return based on personal taste or color preferences. If you are not sure, please ask. I do post pictures on the site, but sometimes color looks different depends on monitor setting etc.

When leaving feedback, please consider the whole order process-customer service, shipping time and of course the product itself. Feedback should be more than just the product, but the entire experience with the seller. For example, you had a great communication with the seller, but turns out you don't care much for the product; it's reasonable to leave a positive feedback with comment indicating you don't care for the product. Shopping experience is very personal and subjective, we hope you enjoy the one you had with us.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT WEATHER:
Please note that lip balms are made from oils and butters which can melt when shipped in warm weather, particularly if they are left outdoors in hot delivery trucks or mailboxes. So please take this into account when placing your order. If this should happen, place the tube in the refrigerator until the lip balm solidifies again.

WARNING and DISCLAIMER:
All products are for external use only, unless otherwise stated. If you have skin sensitivities and/or allergies please read the ingredients listed prior to purchasing. We will not be held responsible for any allergic reaction, skin sensitivity, and/or irritation. The products offered on this web site are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The main goal here is to feel good and joyous. Please purchase and consume any of our products at your own discretion, a product may work wonder for one person, but not for another. When in doubt, talk to your doctor BEFORE use!

INGREDIENTS/LABEL:
We list all ingredients in each listing. The tube you get will get the exact ingredients as listed in that particular listing, we try to be as accurate as possible. Please read each listing in its entirety carefully before purchasing. When in doubt, please ask BEFORE purchase or use. The majority of our products are vegan friendly and/or gluten free. If it's not listed in the listing, it's probably not... again, when in doubt ask before consumption and/or purchase.
Your actual tube's label design, cap color and balm color may look different than the one in the picture. We use stock photo for some of our products.

FLAVORS & COLORS
All our balms are made in small batches and all flavors and colors are hand blend at the time we create each batch. Each new batch might vary slightly. All colors and flavors should be considered “limited edition” since we will only remake them if they are popular. So all our balms are special and OOAK.

A little note about "flavor":
When we say "flavor" here, we mean SMELL, not taste. The only thing we can do with taste is to add some sweetener. All balms are unsweetened unless otherwise stated.

CUSTOM/SPECIAL REQUESTS/UPGRADE:
If you don't see what you are looking for (flavor, color, label design etc), please convo us. Any item that is not currently in our shop will be a special order unless you have made prior communication with us. Convo us and we will let you know what your request means. Special order usually will not cost extra (depends on your request), but we ask that you purchase at least 2 tubes for each request.

For a little extra, you can upgrade to a bigger tube (0.5oz), a slidey tin (0.25oz), or jars. These are subjected to container availability.

We can revise or put together a special listing for you. Once we have set up your reserved list, we will convo you. Please purchase within 2 days, or it will be cancelled.

PHOTOGRAPHY
We have tried our best to photograph our products as accurately as possible. It is unfortunately, impossible to truly capture their depth and complexities with a camera. Every computer monitor will display them differently and everyone's interpretation of color is different.

CHARITY:
Every month, a portion of our net profit will go to selected charitable organizations. 1/2010, we donated to Red Cross for their Haiti Relief fund. Since then, we have also donated to The Perfect Dog and Jethro's Anipal Sanctuary, Inc., both organizations are there to help dogs that are in need.

SAMPLES:
We include samples of our product whenever available.  We may also include random goodies with orders from other vendors whenever available.  If you prefer not to get any samples, please let us know ahead of time.
